Healthy Broth

It is getting close to cold and flu season and what better way to combat illness than with a warm cup of broth? This broth is very easy to make and will warm your stomach and also give you lots of nutrients. The vegetables can be cut in large chunks since they will be discarded.

Healthy Broth

1 onion
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
1/2 cup fresh parsley
6 cups water

Bring to a boil and boil gently for 30 minutes. Strain and drink.

This can also be used as a base for other soups. Just add chopped vegetables of your choice, such as frozen mixed vegetables, and even chopped cooked chicken or beef.
